The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has shown a clear stand by refusing to send its team to India for the T20 World Cup.
According to media reports, Bangladesh Cricket Board Director Asif Akbar has made it clear that under no circumstances will his team go to India to play the T20 World Cup.
He said that the ICC selection of Sri Lanka or Bangladesh is a different place, we have taken the final decision that we will not go to India because we are not safe there.
It is worth noting that the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders kicked out Bangladeshi player Mustafizur Rahman from the league after threats from Hindu extremists.
After this, the relationship between the two cricket boards became strained and the Bangladesh Cricket Board held an emergency meeting and announced not to send its team to India.
Mustafizur Rehman was bought by Shah Rukh Khan’s team for 92 million Indian rupees and later the king of Bollywood was declared a traitor by Indian extremists.
