In the Big Bash League T20, Shadab Khan’s Sydney Thunder defeated Perth Scorchers by 71 runs, Shadab Khan took one wicket and scored four runs.

In the match played in Sydney, Perth Scorchers scored 202 runs for 8 wickets in the first innings.

Ashton Turner showed a brilliant batting performance, he remained unbeaten on 99 runs, he hit 8 sixes and as many fours in the innings. 28, 28 runs were scored by Erin Hardy and Cooper Connolly.

Daniel Simms took four wickets, Race Topley two wickets and Shadab Khan one wicket.

In reply, Sydney Thunders were bowled out for 131 runs in the 18th over, Matthew Jakes scored 33 runs, David Warner scored 25 runs and Sam Contes scored 21 runs.

Erin Hardy, Cooper Connolly, Joel Parris and Brady Crouch each had two hits.
