The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has issued a communication with the International Cricket Council (ICC).

In the statement given by the BCB, it was said that the BCB has expressed its concerns about the participation of the T20 World Cup in India and we have received a response from the ICC.

BCB said that we have also requested that Bangladesh matches be shifted from India to which the ICC in its reply reiterated that the participation of the Bangladesh team in the World Cup will be ensured without any hindrance.

The statement said that the ICC has agreed to work closely with the BCB regarding the concerns and has also agreed to take the board’s concerns into consideration.

BCB says that there is no truth in the news being circulated in the media about giving an ultimatum to the Bangladesh management.

According to the statement, Bangladesh will engage constructively with the Cricket Board, ICC and relevant authorities.

It is worth mentioning that the Bangladesh Cricket team refused to travel to India for the ICCT World Twenty20 due to the breakdown of India-Bangladesh diplomatic relations and the expulsion of Bangladeshi cricketer Mustafizur Rahman from the IPL, citing insecurity in India.
