Report: Soheyl Imran. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has rejected Bangladesh’s request to not play India in the T20 World Cup.

A cricket website has claimed that the ICC has asked Bangladesh to travel to India for matches, otherwise they will lose points.

According to the cricket website, Bangladesh Cricket claims that no such ultimatum has been given by the governing body, but there are conflicting reports of communication between the ICC and the Bangladesh Cricket Board.

The cricket website said a virtual call was held between the ICC and BCB on Tuesday and the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s request was rejected in the virtual call.

The cricket website also said that the virtual call was set up by the ICC after receiving BCB’s letter on Sunday.

According to the cricket website, the ICC has told the BCB that the Bangladesh team will travel to India and if not, Bangladesh will take the risk of not being awarded match points.

It should be noted that no official announcement has been made by ICC or BCB in this regard. Bangladesh had asked India to change the match due to security concerns.
