Bangladesh’s new sports minister Aminul Haq wanted to improve their relations with India and BCCI and said that they want to resolve the current disputes through talks as soon as possible.

According to a cricket website, Amin Al-Haq while speaking to the media after the swearing-in of the new cabinet in Dhaka said that he met the Deputy High Commissioner of India in the Indian Parliament immediately after the swearing-in to discuss the issue of the T20 World Cup.

He said that we want to maintain friendly relations with all neighboring countries and we want this problem to be resolved through dialogue as soon as possible.

It is worth remembering that IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders dropped Bangladesh player Mustafizur Rahman from the team at the request of religious leaders and extremist politicians.

After that, the Bangladeshi team refused to go to India in the 2026 World Twenty20 due to security issues and asked the ICC to move their matches to Sri Lanka, but instead of solving the problem, the ICC excluded Bangladesh and included the Scotland team.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has come out on such treatment by Bangladesh and after negotiating with the Pakistan government has taken a major step by announcing that they will not play against India on February 15.

After this announcement by PCB, ICC was furious and sent Vice President Imran Khawaja to Pakistan where he met Mohsin Naqvi and Bangladesh Cricket Board President and tried to convince Pakistan.

After this important meeting, Pakistan announced that it will play against India and it was also announced by ICC that it will not impose any penalty on Bangladesh.
