Pakistan’s star batsman Babar Azam crossed a new milestone in the third T20 match against Australia when he scored the most half-centuries in T20 matches.
Thus, he took the record which is held by Indian batsman Virat Kohli for a long time.
31-year-old Babar Azam completed his unbeaten T20I 50 off 36 balls against the Kangaroos at the Gaddafi Stadium Lahore today, his 39th fifty including four fours and a towering six.
The previous record for most half-centuries was held by Virat Kohli who scored 38 half-centuries in his T20I career.
The third place in this list is the former Indian captain Rohit Sharma who has 37 and the fourth place is the Pakistani batsman Muhammad Rizwan who has made 31 half centuries.
Australia’s David Warner is fifth with 29 fifties.
It should be noted that Babar Azam is also the highest run-scorer in T20 Internationals.
He has scored 4505 runs in 139 innings at an impressive average of 39.51 and a strike rate of 128.38, including 39 fifties and 3 centuries.
