Australia has decided to rely on spinners for the T20 World Cup 2026.

The spin-heavy squad announced by Cricket Australia for the T20 World Cup 2026 includes a number of new faces.

Mitchell Owen, who is known for his power hitting, could not find a place in the team due to the return of Cameron Green.

Despite the absence of Mitchell Starc and Spencer Johnson, there was no left-arm fast bowler in the Australian team.

Cooper Connolly, who did not feature in the last 12 T20 matches, was included in the squad. Apart from them, Matthew Short, Matthew Cohenman and Xavier Bartlett are also ready to start the World Cup.
