Report: Soheyl Imran. Cricket Australia has announced a 17-member T20 squad for the tour of Pakistan.
The Australian team that will tour Pakistan for the three-match T20 series will be led by Mitchell Marsh and includes Shane Abbott, Xavier Barlett, Mahily Birdman, Cooper Connolly, Ben Darshios, Jack Edwards and Cameron Green.
In addition to them, Travis Head, Josh Ingles, Matthew Kahneman, Mitch Owen, Josh Phillips, Matthew Runshaw, Matthew Short, Marcus Stoins and Adam Dhimpa are also included in the group of 17 people.
Mahily Beardman and Jack Edwards were included in the squad for the first time for the series against Pakistan while Matthew Renshaw will also make his T20 debut.
It is worth mentioning that 5 players included in the T20 World Cup squad have been rested for the series against Pakistan.
Cricket Australia says Pete Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and Tim David have been given more time for fitness in the World Cup squad.
Big Bash League players Nathan Ellis and Glenn Maxwell have been ruled out of the series against Pakistan due to load management and all five players will join the team in Sri Lanka, according to Board Australia.
It is worth mentioning that the series of 3 T20 matches between the teams of Pakistan and Australia will be played at the Gaddafi stadium in Lahore on the occasion of the ICCT Twenty World Cup.
The three-match T20 series between Pakistan and Australia will be played later this month, which is scheduled to be played on January 29 and 31 and the final match will be played on February 1.
