Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Senator Mohsin Naqvi has decided to contact Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif once again at the request of the International Cricket Council.

In T20 World Cup 2026, Pakistan have not played against India in the 2026 World Cup. The ICC delegation met the PCB Chairman in Lahore.

According to sources, on the request of the ICC, the PCB Chairman decided to contact the Prime Minister again. It is expected that a meeting between Shehbaz Sharif and Mohsin Naqvi will take place in the next one or two days.

According to sources, Mohsin Naqvi will receive instructions from the Prime Minister at the request of ICC as the final decision regarding the match will be given by Shehbaz Sharif.

It is worth mentioning that the ICC has increased its efforts to give Pakistan a match against India.

Meetings between PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, ICC Vice Chairman Imran Khawaja and BCB Chairman Aminul Islam are continuing in Lahore.

Sources had stated that negotiations would be successful if Bangladesh’s excesses were resolved, but Pakistan’s decision to play India or not is a matter for the future.
