In the eleventh edition of PSL, Hyderabad Kingsman fast bowler Asif Mehmood gave a meaningful answer to the question about his return to the national team.

During the ‘Pitchside Post Match Show’, Sana Mir asked Asif Mahmood, who put in a brilliant performance against Islamabad United, while recalling his Pakistan U-19 experience, if fans can see him back in the national team.

On the question of returning to the national team, Asif Mehmud avoided the question with a smile and said ‘there is no answer’.

Former commander Sana Mir and host Zaynab Abbas also called this answer wise and said that silence speaks volumes in such times.

Sana Mir said that when Usman Khan scored a century, we also asked him this question and his answer was exactly the same.

It is worth mentioning that Asif Mehmood joined the Pakistan U-19 team in December 2014, where he played three matches in the series against Kenya.

He showed his mettle by taking four wickets in the second ODI. He also played a short but effective role in the batting.

The 30-year-old pacer took four wickets in just two overs in his PSL debut and played a key role in the team’s success after all eyes were on his performance.
