Ashes series: Australia were bowled out for 152 in the first innings

In the first innings of the Boxing Day Test of the Ashes, the Australian team scored a total of 152 runs in the 46th over.

In Melbourne, England won and decided to bowl first, in response to what the hosts proved to be a wall of sand.

Michael Nasir led Australia’s batsman with 35 runs, while opening batsmen Travis Head and Jake Weatherland were dismissed for 12 and 10 runs respectively.

Marence Labushin scored 6 and captain Steve Smith scored only 9 runs, Usman Khawaja scored 29 runs and wicketkeeper-batsman Alex Carey scored 20 runs.

Cameron Greene scored 17 runs and Mitchell Starc scored 1 run and Jay Richardson was not out.

On behalf of England, Josh Ting dismissed 5 players, Gus Angston got 2 and Ben Stokes, along with Brayden Cross, got a wicket each.
