Report: Feyzan Lakhani. Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) President Mohsin Gilani said that they will run a professional football league that will benefit everyone. It will be PFF style league, not PSL style.
In an exclusive conversation with Geo News in Karachi, Mohsin Gilani said that the entire focus of the PFF is on improving the men’s and women’s national teams. Pakistan has an experienced coach that we should take advantage of.
He said that mini-areas are being set up to improve the infrastructure, two areas have arrived.
He said they will have a professional football league that will benefit everyone. It will be PFF style league, not PSL style. The new Pakistan Football League will be club-based rather than franchise-based.
The head of the PFF said that because of the month of Ramadan, they cannot meet their friends before the match with Myanmar, for the preparations of the match, Nolberto Solano decided to start the national camp early.
Mohsin Geelani said that we played well against Afghanistan, Myanmar is our team, we can win the match.
He said that the decision of the players who will play in the team will be made by the coach, he has full faith in Solan and the federation will fully support them.
Mohsin Gilani said that due to the relationship with FIFA, the work of PFF has become easier.
He said that the teams of Pakistan and India played a futsal match in Thailand, they are continuing to meet with the government regarding the SAFF Championship.
He also said that there could be ties between Pakistan and India through football. Efforts will be made to present a positive image of Pakistan throughout the world through football.
The PFF president said that the distinction between foreign and local players should be removed, if a player is eligible to play for Pakistan then he is a Pakistani footballer. If FIFA declares him eligible and the coach thinks better, the player will play against Pakistan.
He also said that tomorrow if our players leave and start playing, will they be foreigners?
Mohsin Gilani said that after two years the performance of the Pakistan football team will start, the under-17 team has shown good performance, they will go to a higher level.
