Report: Soheyl Imran. The player categories of the 11th Pakistan Super League (PSL) have been announced.
In the PSL which started this year, 89 local players have been divided into 5 different categories.
According to the information, 16 players have been placed in the platinum category and in this category, Salman Ali Akha, Hassan Ali, Muhammad Nawaz and Ebrar Ahmed have moved from diamond to platinum category and Sahibzada Farhan has reached platinum category from gold.
Babar Azam, Shahin Shah Afrini, Muhammad Rizwan, Fakhar Zaman, Saim Ayyub, Nasim Shah, Haris Rauf and Shadab Khan remained in the platinum category.
In the current edition of PSL, 11 players are in the diamond category and according to this category, Muhammad Wasim Jr., Sufyan Muqim and Salman Mirza have become diamonds from gold.
There will be 32 players in the gold category, and 30 players in the silver and novice category.
Before the PSL auction, each franchise will be able to retain a total of 4 players and one player per category.
The registration date of foreign players for the Pakistan Super League has been extended till February 3 while the first and historic PSL players will be held on February 11.
