This competition is very important for Pakistan. Sources reveal that if the national team loses against Namibia, it may be difficult to reach the Super Eight stage. However, if the match rains, Pakistan will get a point which could pave the way for the next round.
It is worth noting that after the defeat against India, former cricketers criticized the team’s performance and some suggested dropping Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi and Shadab Khan.
According to sources, some senior players may be rested in the match against Namibia. Instead of Shahin Afrini, Salman Mirza is seen and instead of Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman is given a chance. Similarly, Naseem Shah can be replaced by Shadab Khan or Mohammed Nawaz in the playing XI.
The final playing XI will be announced before the match as the team management deliberates to bring out a balanced scoreline in the crucial match.
