A legal complaint has been filed against Indian cricket team’s Hardik Pandya for allegedly desecrating the national flag.

According to Indian media, this complaint was filed by a lawyer from Pune, Wajid Khan, who says that he has requested official action from the police in this matter.

According to Wakil Wajid Khan, he found a video in which Hardik Pandya is celebrating after winning the T20 World Cup.

They said that during the celebration, Pandya was seen dancing romantically with his girlfriend while the Indian national flag was tied on his back.

Wajid Khan believes that celebrating in this way by wrapping the national flag on the body is against the dignity of the flag.

He said that according to article 2 of the national flag law, 1971, it is necessary to ensure respect for the national flag, and any act that desecrates the flag is not allowed.

Wajid Khan said that he had gone to the Shivaji Nagar police station to file a complaint in the matter. At first, the police said that the incident did not happen in that area, but they emphasized that the national flag is the symbol of the whole country, so complaints can be made anywhere.

According to him, the police finally accepted his complaint and gave him a copy. Now they are waiting for other actions regarding the issue.
