After losing all three T20I matches to England Lions in United Arab Emirates (UAE), Pakistan Shaheens are now focusing on winning the 5 ODI series.
The five-match ODI series between Pakistan Shaheens and England Lions begins today in Abu Dhabi, with the national team A determined to start the campaign with a win.
All matches of the series will be played at the Oval Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Each match will start at 10:00 local time, and the fourth match will start at 15:00 on March 6.
Earlier, a three-match T20 series was played between the two teams at the same venue in which the English defeated the Lions 0-3. England Lions won the first T20I by 4 wickets, won the second match by 32 runs and won the last T20I by 2 wickets.
Speaking ahead of the series, Pakistan Shaheens head coach Ijaz Ahmed Jr said that the transition from T20 to ODI format is always a challenge as there is a significant difference between the two styles of cricket.
He said that the team management has set small and clear goals for the players so that the match can be played better by dividing it into different phases.
