Report: Feyzan Lakhani. The exciting matches of the eleventh edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) are underway and the action has now shifted to Karachi, where Quetta Gladiators leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed expressed his determination to perform better for the team in the new phase.

Speaking to Geo News, Abrar Ahmed said that the team wants to forget the first match and start again in Karachi as the opening leg in Lahore did not live up to their expectations.

He stated that he is hopeful that Karachi wickets will help the spinners and they will start their campaign successfully from here.

Ebrar Ahmed said that there were a few matches that the team could have won but were defeated due to errors in the midfield.

He admitted that in the matches against Islamabad and Karachi the teams had chances to win but they failed to capitalize.

Mr. Spinner said that the team as a whole has played good cricket and it is hoped that the performance in the Karachi stage will improve further.

Regarding his personal goals, Abrar Ahmed revealed that his priority is team success over individual performance, my only goal is to win the Quetta Gladiators trophy.

He also said: if he performs well financially, he will benefit the team and the team will reach the finals.

Speaking about the challenges faced in T20 teams, Abrar Ahmed said that due to the favorable conditions for batting in the current period, the players need to be more intelligent.

He said that in order to win, a bowler must formulate a strategy by understanding the wicket and the situation of the match and bowling and keep in mind the strength and weakness of the batsmen.

He regretted the lack of crowd and said that the presence of fans adds to the beauty of the match and motivates the players. It is hoped that as conditions improve, fans will be allowed to enter the stadium in future matches.

On joining The Hundred and discussing it, Abrar said, “My only job is the game of cricket, wherever I play, I only focus on my performance.”

Abrar Ahmed expressed his determination that Quetta Gladiators will make a strong comeback in the competition by playing well in the Karachi stage.

It is worth mentioning that in this match Quetta Gladiators will face Rawalpindi today, while looking at the scoreboard, Quetta Gladiators have lost 3 out of 4 matches so far and the only match played was the Hyderabad Kings match in which they won by 40 runs.
