India’s attacking opener Abhishek Sharma has equaled another unwanted record by an Indian player.
The 25-year-old Abhishek Sharma was dismissed for the third consecutive time in the ICCT20 World Cup.
In the ongoing mega event hosted by India and Sri Lanka, the young Indian opener has failed to score a single run so far.
They were bowled out first by the USA, then by Pakistan and in the last group match by the Dutch bowlers for a wicket, their third wicket in the T20 World Cup 2026.
Before him, India’s Ashish Nehra was bowled out in 3 consecutive T20 World Cup matches.
Abhishek Sharma also equaled the record for most wickets for India in a calendar year, previously held by Sanju Samson in 2004.
