A big blow to New Zealand ahead of the T20 World Cup

Ahead of the ICCT World Twenty20, the New Zealand cricket team has suffered a major setback.

Fast bowler Adam Mullen has been ruled out of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup with a serious left leg injury, according to the New Zealand Cricket Board.

According to the Kiwi board, according to follow-up reports, the injury is so severe that Adam Millan will not be able to participate in the entire tournament.

According to the New Zealand board, fast bowler Kyle Jamieson has replaced Adam Mullen in the World Cup. Jamieson is currently with the team on the Black Caps white ball tour of India.

The 31-year-old Adam Mullen was initially selected as a traveling reserve for the T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka from February to March, but picked up an injury on Sunday while representing the Eastern Cape Sunrisers in South Africa’s SA20 league.

In this regard, head coach Rob Walter expressed his sadness and said that we are all very sad for Adam, he has worked hard to prepare himself for the tournament.

“Unfortunately the timing was not in his favor, we wish him a speedy recovery,” Rob Walter said.

On the selection of Kyle Jamieson, Rob Walter said, “It is great that Kyle is already with us in India and he is a key member of our fast bowling unit.”

The head coach also confirmed that a new travel reserve for the T20 World Cup will be announced soon.

It is worth mentioning that in the ICCT World Twenty20, the New Zealand team will play in Group D with Afghanistan, Canada, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates and will start with a match against Afghanistan on February 8 in Chennai.
