35th National Games: Defending champions Pakistan Army maintain their dominance, collect medals

At the 35th National Games in Karachi, the defending Pakistan army on Sunday maintained its supremacy in various sports and bagged many medals. Hosta Şengal won the women’s netball game and won the first gold medal of the games. Gold medal player Arsed Nadim will be seen in action on Monday.

In the sensational and exciting final of the women’s netball tournament played at the PSB Coaching Center, Singal won by 20 points to 13 points against the strong rival team Wapda. In the semi-final, Shengal defeated the Army team.

On this he said that after 18 years it is a pleasure for the host team to win the first gold medal in the national games organized by Singal. On the occasion of Shengal Day, the winning team presented a good gift to the province.

Pakistan Army won the men’s netball tournament by defeating Pakistan Navy in the final and won the gold medal. Abdul Masur won the first gold medal of the games in the men’s individual event.

In the semi-final competitions, Ahmed from Balochistan and Shoaib from Punjab won bronze medals, on the second day of shooting competitions, Pakistan Army won 7 gold medals and Pakistan Navy secured the second position with 5 gold medals.

In the women’s 10-meter race, Rabia Kabir of the navy won gold, Ramsha Nadeem of the army won silver and Rasam Gul won bronze.

In the 25m individual events, Muhammad Shabir of Army won gold, GM Bashir of Navy won silver and Maqbool Hiseen of Navy won bronze. In the team competition, Navy won gold, army silver and PAF bronze medals.

Imam Harun of the army, Asif Mehmood of the navy and Asif Ali won bronze medals in the Skating Olympics. In the team category, the army won gold, the navy won silver and Singal won bronze medals. In the shooting medals table, Pakistan Army is second with 7 gold medals, 6 silver medals and one bronze medal and Pakistan Navy is second with 5 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 6 bronze medals. Brajman, PAF is third with 2 silver and 2 bronze medals, Shingal is fourth with 2 bronze medals and HEC is fifth with one bronze medal.

In taekwondo, Pakistan Army won all 8 events and won gold medals, in men’s under 20 individual event Syed Zoheib beat Syed Sohail Abbas of Punjab, women’s event Zeyne Shiraz won by defeating Samira Fida of PAF.

In the women’s individual competition under the age of 30, Naila represented Maryam of Punjab, in the individual competition under the age of 40, Maher Nisa represented Sindh, Hajra Nawab, the sports officer of the Central District of Karachi, in the individual competition under the age of 50, Sana Sabir represented the Punjab Hasina Jamal, in the individual competition of men, Fahadin, Hussain, represented the men under the age of 30. In the individual competition under 40 years old, Muhammad Mumtaz was the representative of Rafiullah of Balochistan, and in the individual competition under 50 years old, Arshad was its representative. Ali Kashif defeated Saeed of PAF, Army won the under-30 women’s competition by defeating HEC.

In the Open Class Optimist Arabian Sea Sailing Championship, Muhammad Salim of PAF won gold, Afzal Haider of Navy won silver, Tehsin Qazi of PAF won Bronze Medal, Tehsin Qazi of PF won gold in Optimist girls, Tahrim Fatima Abbasi of KP Fatim Brondh.

In Optimist Racing mixed competition, PAF won gold, Navy Silver and Sindh Bronze medal, in ILCA 4 Class Open PAF gold, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Silver and Sindh medals, in ILCA Class 6 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa won Gold Medal.

PAF won silver and Pakistan navy won bronze, Navy won gold in 470 junior class, PAF won silver and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa won bronze, Navy won gold in men’s RSX class, Punjab won silver and Azad Jammu and Kashmir won bronze, Pakistan Police defeated Sindh 7 in opening round 2 match.

In the second match, Shengal lost to Balochistan 19-6. Pakistan Softball Federation President Tehmina Asif was the chief guest at the opening ceremony. In men’s action, Pakistan Army defeated Sindh.

In the women’s football tournament, Pakistan Army defeated Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by 23 goals, while Sindh and WAPDA drew 1-1.

The men’s and women’s boxing competitions have started at the PT Sports Complex, the table tennis competitions have started at the Islamic Club, and the athletics competitions of the national games will start on Monday at PNS Karsaz.

On the first day, the fastest male and female athletes of the games will be determined in the 100m final, with Olympic gold medalist Arshad Nadeem competing in the javelin throw at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
