In the fourth and Boxing Day Test of the Ashes series between the cricket teams of Australia and England, 20 wickets fell on the first day.
A large number of wickets fell on the first day of the Test, eliminating the chance of it continuing for five days.
England captain Ben Stokes won and decided to bat first, the entire Australian team was bowled out for 152 runs in the first innings.
In reply, England were bowled out for just 110 runs with Australia leading by 42 runs.
At the end of the first day, Australia scored 4 runs not out in their second innings to lead England by 46 runs.
The second day’s play will start at 4:30 am Pakistan time on Saturday.
It is worth mentioning that the host team Australia has a decisive advantage of 0-3 against the visitors England in the Ashes series which consists of five Test matches.
The Kangaroos beat England by 8 wickets in the first test match, beat the visiting team Australia by 8 wickets in the second test match played in Brisbane and beat England by 82 runs in the third test match played in Adelaide to establish a decisive lead in the Ashes series.
The fifth and final Test match of the Ash Men series between the two teams will be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground from January 4 to 8, 2026.
